field camping one night

If a person is joining an already astablished field camp group. Is it ok for him to park in general parking and just pay for one night, only staying for one day of festival? First timer, driving a long way.

I'm gonna say probably not. While one can now camp per night, one must have a weekend ticket. So, if you only have a one day ticket, you probably are out of luck.

While everyone is flat out getting things ready, I will try to keep it in mind if I talk to anyone.
But, again, need a weekend ticket. Actually, there is a good reason for that.
Camping gets pretty packed as it is now.
Then add people camping all weekend, but, only seeing one day...
