Re: Boogie 2013

Great work Brian...and all the other photogs. Can't wait for this year's Boogie! Nice to see Jeremiah Johnson back on the schedule too...they were outstanding.

Re: Un-necessary Excessive Police/Security Presence

This was our first Boogie, so I can't speak to previous years, but we found the security to be totally cool. A quick check of what you were bringing in your cooler, backpack, etc, asking a couple of questions, then send you on your way. The police were there, but I didn't see them doing anything but...

Re: Boogie 2013

Hi Brian, It was great meeting you at the "beer summit". This was the first Boogie for Gloria and I, though most assuredly not the last! You are sooooo correct about anyone who left before Sunday...huge mistake. All the acts were great, but Diunna & Blue Mercy stole the show IMO. We ha...

Re: Any home brewers out there?

I thought the timing was perfect actually. Yes, people are going to eat near that time, but the best bands are on at night (usually) and I for one do not want to start pounding great quality beer too early in the day or I'll be toast before the day ends ;) So my two cents is that I think you had it ...

Re: Any home brewers out there?

Great pic, and an awesome time. We certainly need to make that an annual event at the Boogie. We will be back for sure, hopefully with a few friends tagging along! Nice meeting you all!!

in and out?

Is there re-entry into the festival if you want/need to go back to your car, or should you carry in anything you might want to have with you? For instance, if my wife might need a sweatshirt after the sun goes down, will we be able to go to the car to get it, or do we need to bring it in with us? We...

Re: Any home brewers out there?

Hey Vanner...I checked out Gray Sail's Flying Jenny...good stuff. I also found a store near me that has a bunch of good canned brew. Have you tried any of Heavy Seas Brewery's stuff? Their Loose Cannon and Black Cannon are excellent. I found Loose Cannon in cans, and will bring some up for inside th...

Re: Any home brewers out there?

If we owned a camper, we'd be camping. Sleeping on an air mattress in a tent is not a viable option for us, so a hotel 10 minutes away is our best solution. I'm sure we'll still have a great time. Do non-campers have access to the campground? This is our first Boogie, so we're not up on all the do's...

Re: Any home brewers out there?

Thanks for the info Vanner...you can count me in. We'll have to exchange info as we get closer to the boogie. We're not camping...we have a room nearby...but we'll certainly pay you a visit!! Looking forward to blues and brews!
