Pet question

Hi Everyone ~
I am a total newbie to the Festival...so excited!! Last year I went up just for the day, but this year my boyfriend and I are camping and spending the weekend. My dad has a motorhome and got a place about 2 miles down the road... He and my step mom will be joining us for the festival festivities!
OK, so here is my question... what is the rule about pets? My dad has a little dog he was hoping to bring... the camping section of the site says pets are ok, leashed, and not left alone...but the "About the boogie" section says no pets. So, does that mean they are allowed in the camping section, but not past the gates to where the food/vendors/ music is??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
