Here's a great place to talk about your boogie experiences.

RIP Johnny Winter

Post by briansullivan »

I am deeply saddened on Johnny passing away Wednesday. I recently saw him at the Flying Monkey and got some great shots.

Peace to you Johnny.

Johnny was the first guy to totally mesmerize me with his slide playing. I saw him many times during the 80's and 90's...gotta be at least 15 times. He is partially responsible for the bad case of tinnitus that I have...I saw him and the Allman Brothers at the Navy base in Groton, CT in the early 90's, and my ears actually hurt after that show, the loudest I've ever been at. They were ringing the next day, and the ringing has never stopped. Great show though :)

RIP Johnny.
