2014 and still no recycling

Post by Thedude »

What a wonderful festival in an amazing setting. Every year my wife and I are blown away by the artists and the vibe. What troubles me is the lack of recycling. I personally carry in and out my own cans/bottles to keep the volume of waste down a little bit. I'm sure there are plenty of others that feel the same way. Casella is a huge underwriter and I am sure they would also be willing to help. Something as simple as handing out a clear bag for trash and a blue bag for recycling to every camper would be an easy start (and I bet Casella would pay for the bags). A couple of 55 gallon drums marked recycling on the main field would help as well and I'm sure volunteers would be happy to assist in monitoring. I would be happy to work with you to try and develop a program.
